AI cost audits · For teams spending $1,000+ a month on AI APIs
Cut the AI API costs you don't need.
Send me the usage exports from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or any other provider. I show you where the money goes, what looks wasted, and what to change first, with estimated ranges and the method behind each one.
Fixed price, $399. No API keys or account access. Written report in 5 business days.
The calculator is free and needs no signup.
Estimated avoidable spend (example, made-up company)
$1,395 to $2,885 a month
Example, made-up company: out of $6,400 a month across 2 providers. Top 3 changes:
| Change | Estimated per month |
|---|---|
| 1. Move ticket tagging to a smaller model | $640 to $1,275 |
| 2. Trim boilerplate from summary inputs | $260 to $520 |
| 3. Re-embed only changed documents | $200 to $400 |
Where AI API costs leak
Overspend usually builds up in three places.
Bills are split up. OpenAI, Anthropic and Google each bill separately. Nobody sees the total, so nobody owns it.
Expensive models do simple work. Tagging, extraction and short summaries often run on the priciest model because it was the default.
Spikes show up late. A retry loop or a bad deploy can run for weeks before the invoice shows it.

Who it's for
Good fit
You spend about $1,000 a month or more on AI APIs, you use more than one model or provider, you can download usage exports from your provider dashboards, and you want the answer in writing.
Not a fit
You spend less than $1,000 a month (the audit would likely cost more than it finds). You only pay for chat subscriptions like ChatGPT Plus, since the audit covers API usage. You need someone to run your AI stack day to day, or you can't share usage exports.
